Workday HCM - Payroll / Time and Attendance Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a Workday HCM Analyst (Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence) to support pay‑impacting operations within a large‑scale enterprise Workday environment. This role will begin with rapid ramp‑up and Day One hypercare support, then transition into steady‑state operational and cycle support, and ultimately into optimization and more complex enhancements.
This position offers the opportunity to work across the full lifecycle—from stabilization through optimization—while improving payroll accuracy, reducing manual effort, and strengthening controls in a high‑impact, payroll‑sensitive environment. Work is remote, with limited travel as needed. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. (U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders) and eligible for W2 employment only; C2C arrangements are not available.
Active Workday Certification in applicable module(s) (e.g., HCM, Financials, Payroll, Integrations) is required.
Responsibilities
- Learn configuration across Time Tracking, Absence, and payroll‑related workflows, including time entry, validations, eligibility rules, accruals, calendars/schedules, business processes, and security
- Review runbooks for time, absence, and payroll support cycles, including cutoffs, timelines, and escalation paths
- Triage issues impacting pay accuracy, such as time entry errors, approval issues, validation failures, accrual discrepancies, BP routing, and access/security concerns
- Support go‑live stabilization efforts, including controlled fixes, documented workarounds, and thorough testing
- Provide ongoing incident, request, and problem support, including support for recurring cycles such as time periods, approvals, and absence processing
- Maintain job aids and knowledge articles and partner with stakeholders to reduce recurring errors
- Identify opportunities to simplify time and absence workflows, strengthen validations, and improve self‑service guidance
- Support more complex enhancements and projects, including new rules, redesigned approvals, reporting improvements, automation, testing, and change readiness
Qualifications
Experience and proficiency with the following:
- Workday Payroll (Foundation)
- Workday Time Tracking (Foundation)
- Workday HCM (Foundation)
- Strong understanding of payroll‑impacting configuration and end‑to‑end time and absence processes

Job Requirements
- W2 Hourly rate starts at $85. Pay rates are based on experience and qualifications, and are subject to change at any time.
- Benefits vary by compensation type and may include paid time off (PTO), medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, and additional optional benefits.
