We are supporting a major statewide Workday implementation and seeking experienced Workday Grants Consultants to join a dedicated team driving a transformative enterprise solution. This role will play a critical part in designing, building, and deploying Workday Grants functionality across multiple agencies, helping modernize grant management processes statewide.

Project Overview

The State is executing a multi-year Workday implementation, with Go Live targeted for July 2026, followed by a year of ongoing support. The Grants workstream is currently in build/tenant configuration, and the team is expanding to meet upcoming milestones and cross-agency needs. There is also strong potential for additional follow-on work with other state agencies.

Why This Role Matters

This initiative will modernize how grants are managed across multiple agencies, impacting processes, technology, and service delivery statewide. As part of a small, specialized team, you will have the opportunity to shape solution design, drive adoption, and directly influence project success.

Responsibilities

Project Context: Grants Workstream

State agencies currently operate with disparate processes and no unified Grants system, relying largely on legacy technology. This initiative aims to establish a standard framework across agencies, and the Grants team will be central to designing scalable processes that can support broad modernization.

  • Collaborate with agency stakeholders to understand current-state grants processes and gaps
  • Facilitate Workday Grants demonstrations to illustrate capabilities, features, and optimal workflows
  • Provide consultative guidance, educating customers on best practices and solution options
  • Partner closely with business users to guide them through the transition from legacy systems
  • Identify approaches for data migration, mapping, and alignment to Workday Grants functionality
  • Support configuration, testing, readiness activities, and go-live events
  • Build strong relationships with diverse agency stakeholders and represent the Workday Grants team professionally

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience implementing or supporting Workday Grants
    • State government experience is highly desirable, but Higher Education experience is also very relevant
  • Proven ability to conduct engaging demos and present complex topics clearly
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
    • Ability to work with varied agency customers and listen actively
  • Strong consultative mindset, with the ability to educate, influence, and guide decision-making
  • Familiarity with data conversion and approaches to moving from legacy systems to Workday

Job Requirements

  • W2 Hourly rate: $106 - $140. Pay rates are based on experience, qualifications, and location, and are subject to change at any time.
  • Benefits vary by compensation type and may include paid time off (PTO), medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, and additional optional benefits.
