Workday Financials - Grants Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a Workday Financials Analyst (Grants) to support grant‑related operations and reporting within a large‑scale enterprise Workday environment. This role will focus initially on ramp‑up and Day One hypercare, then transition into steady‑state operational support and optimization efforts that strengthen compliance, charging accuracy, transparency, and audit readiness.
This position offers the opportunity to work across the full lifecycle—from stabilization through optimization—while supporting complex, compliance‑driven grant processes. Work is remote, with limited travel as needed. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. (U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders) and eligible for W2 employment only; C2C arrangements are not available.
Active Workday Certification in applicable module(s) (e.g., HCM, Financials, Payroll, Integrations) is required.
Responsibilities
- Learn grant‑related configuration and operating processes, including grant setup, worktag strategy, charging and costing rules, validations, and reporting requirements
- Review compliance‑driven documentation such as SOPs, control points, audit requirements, and known issues
- Triage and resolve grant‑impacting issues, including incorrect worktagging, charging failures, validation errors, workflow routing issues, and reporting discrepancies
- Partner with Accounting and Integrations teams when issues span posting logic or inbound/outbound data flows
- Provide ongoing incident, request, and problem support for recurring grants‑related issues
- Maintain documentation and knowledge articles to support consistent outcomes and audit traceability
- Identify opportunities to improve compliance and transparency through stronger validations, improved reporting, and cleaner master data governance
- Support more complex enhancements and projects, including refined charging rules, enhanced controls, expanded reporting, and process improvements
Qualifications
Experience and proficiency with the following:
- Workday Financial Management – Grants Management (Foundation)
- Workday Financials (Foundation)
- Grants Management configuration and reporting (Foundation)
- Strong understanding of worktagging, charging controls, and grant‑focused reporting
- Experience supporting compliance‑driven or audit‑sensitive financial processes
Job Requirements
- W2 Hourly rate starts at $85. Pay rates are based on experience and qualifications, and are subject to change at any time.
- Benefits vary by compensation type and may include paid time off (PTO), medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, and additional optional benefits.
