The Squires Group has a contract opportunity for an experienced Terraform Engineer to support a US Homeland Security program. In this role, you will be responsible for engineering, optimizing, configuring and monitoring the Terraform Enterprise. This Federal project is located in Annapolis Junction, MD, and contains some remote work options. Feel good about your work, as your team looks to ensure the safety of flights in the United States with passenger screening. 

Per our Federal Government contract, candidates must be US Citizens with an Active Secret Clearance. 

Responsibilities

• Customize Terraform Enterprise for managing infrastructure in two on-premises data centers.
• Improve Terraform plans and code using best practices.
• Design a high-availability setup for Terraform Enterprise across two data centers.
• Ensure Terraform state is regularly refreshed, and issues are resolved.
• Develop Sentinel policies to control unauthorized infrastructure changes.
• Create approval workflows for infrastructure updates.
• Offer guidance on infrastructure pipelines.
• Train and support teams in using Terraform and provide application support.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience
• 5+ years hands on experience with Terraform
• 4+ years of experience in Terraform Enterprise or HCP Terraform
• 5+ years of experience on multiple OS platforms
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Knowledge of server virtualization technologies, such as VMware
• Familiarity with Microsoft and Red Hat Enterprise Linux server OS
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical information and requirements effectively to leadership and team members
• Per our Federal Government contract, candidates must be US Citizens with an Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of LAN/WAN network infrastructure technologies
• Knowledge of automation using tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, etc.
• Experience with using vCenter to manage VMware infrastructure
• Experience in SAFe Agile delivery
• Experience developing standard operating procedures and project documentation

Compensation

Competitive salary range of $90K-$150K, based on experience, qualifications, location, licensure and certifications.  The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
