The Squires Group has an immediate opportunity for a CLEARED Security Splunk SME to work on a Federal project based in Arlington, VA. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and responsible for designing & integrating Splunk with a wide variety of data sources and developing associated knowledge objects such as queries, dashboards, reports, alerts for monitoring and analytics. This role requires onsite presence at the client site in Arlington, VA at least once per week. 

Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be US Citizens with an ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE.

Responsibilities

• Design & set up the ingestion of various customer data flows, to include pre-processing data into a usable format, ensuring proper parsing and indexing
• Perform data transformation using Splunk Query Language
• Monitor the health of the Splunk environment and optimize its performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Splunk performance, data indexing, and searches
• Administer Splunk Enterprise for large organizations
• Manage user authentication within Splunk to include Role and Attribute Based Access Controls (RBAC\\ABAC), authentication with Lightweight Directory Access Protocol and Active Directory (LDAP\\AD), and manage access via HEC tokens
• Administer Splunk on large scale cloud environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree AND 7 years of professional experience
• 7+ years of experience with the following:
  • Splunk Administration
  • Splunk Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Operations
  • Splunk Enterprise Architecture and Design
• Experience implementing and managing Apps within Splunk
• Experience administering Splunk on large scale cloud environments
• Experience working in DevOps and Scrum environments
• Must have in-depth experience and knowledge in Splunk Enterprise, Splunk ES and Splunk ITSI
• Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be US Citizens with an ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE

Compensation

• W2 Hourly rate: $99 - $106. Pay rates are based on experience, qualifications, location, and certifications, and are subject to change at any time.
• Benefits vary by compensation type and may include paid time off (PTO), medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, and additional optional benefits.
