Job Description
As a Software Engineer on the TS-SCI Full Scope Poly program based in Annapolis Junction, MD you will develop, maintain and enhance complex custom operational software systems which will involve developing or updating analytics, algorithms, scripts, procedures, documentation, security features, metrics collection, reporting functions and all aspects of maintaining operational systems. The Financial, HR/Workforce, and Logistics programs are highly customized PeopleSoft vs 9.2 Modules.
Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens and hold an Active TS/SCI with FS Poly.
Flex Schedules are available: choose an early or late shift between 6am – 6pm, 4 / 10 shifts, or a 30-hour work week. The goal is to find the schedule that can work best for you.
Responsibilities
- Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
- Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
- Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
- Investigate and analyze system and user problems to identify potential solutions/fixes
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
- Design/implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
- Modify existing software to adapt to new hardware or to improve its performance
- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users and system engineers to analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes to investigate problem areas
- Assist in the development and execution of test procedures for software components
- Develop, modify, and implement algorithms to address system performance or functional issues within operational systems
- Ensure quality control of all developed and modified software and write or review software and system documentation
Qualifications
- Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens and hold an Active TS/SCI with FS Poly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited University. Four years of additional software development experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree
- 7 - 10+ years of experience in software development/engineering in programs of similar scope, type and complexity
- Security+ Certification is required within six months of joining team
