Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Engineer to join our client’s team in Arlington, VA. In this role you will oversee the development and deployment of ServiceNow solutions, integrating data stores, enabling cybersecurity management, guiding migrations, ensuring compliance, customizing workflows, providing technical leadership, and delivering progress updates to stakeholder. This position operates on a rotating hybrid schedule:

  • Week 1: Two days onsite, three days remote
  • Week 2: Three days onsite, two days remote

Per our client contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens, possessing an Active Secret Clearance with eligibility to obtain a final Top Secret.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead the design, implementation, and upkeep of ServiceNow solutions to enhance customer service, data collection, and GRC processes.
  • Manage and integrate diverse data stores, ensuring global users have streamlined access to reports and tools for managing cybersecurity findings.
  • Develop migration strategies for systems and data stores, creating dashboards that empower users to evaluate and address cybersecurity issues.
  • Collaborate with software teams to identify and implement optimal migration paths and integration techniques for both existing and new platforms.
  • Ensure all solutions meet the Department's security, compliance, and performance standards.
  • Create and customize workflows and ServiceNow modules to align with both business needs and technical specifications.
  • Provide leadership in applying ServiceNow best practices, assisting the team with complex challenges and system enhancements.
  • Actively participate in Agile development sprints, contributing to the planning, execution, and successful delivery of ServiceNow projects.
  • Deliver clear, concise technical presentations and briefings to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding of project progress, outcomes, and solutions. 
 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 9 years of overall work experience. An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Possess one at least ONE of the following certifications, OR, be able to obtain prior to start date:
    • CASP+ CE, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, SCYBER, VCA DCV, PPDA, Agile IC, SNOW App Dev
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development, including custom module development, workflows, and integrations. 
  • Demonstrated experience in accessing and integrating disparate data stores for global user management and cybersecurity reporting. 
  • Strong background in system migration, dashboard creation, and action-based reporting solutions. 
  • Experience in Agile development environments, with a proven ability to contribute to sprint planning, execution, and delivery. 
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, with the ability to brief and present technical solutions to customers and stakeholders. 
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and cybersecurity experts. 
  • Experience in GRC, cybersecurity, or related compliance areas is highly desirable. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • U.S. Citizenship required. 
  • An active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ITIL Frameworks and Principles.
  • Advanced UI/UX development in ServiceNow using AngularJS w/Bootstrap, AJAX.
  • REST API Development.
  • PL/SQL logic (GlideRecord in ServiceNow).
  • Understanding the ServiceNow upgrade process to include duration, rollback options, and testing.
  • Well-versed with the ServiceNow data model and database structure, as well as SQL.

Job Requirements

Compensation
The compensation for this role is up to $136,000, based on experience and qualifications.
