Our Annapolis, MD based client, has an immediate opening for a Mid- Level SQL Developer.  In this role, you will be joining a team of developers creating, managing, and maintaining databases using SQL to ensure that data is organized efficiently, accessed accurately, and leveraged effectively to support business functions and inform decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Manage system performance by conducting diagnostics, optimizing queries, implementing performance tuning techniques, and ensuring reliable data backups.
• Update and enhance existing databases and database management systems or oversee programmers responsible for making these modifications.
• Test applications and databases, resolve issues, fix bugs, and apply necessary updates or improvements.
• Design, coordinate, and enforce security protocols to protect data from accidental loss, unauthorized access, or malicious alterations.
• Establish and promote standards and best practices for software usage and procurement to safeguard sensitive information.
• Develop and maintain business intelligence tools, dashboards, and reports for data-driven insights

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on, daily experience working with MS SQL Developer
• Proficiency with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Extensive experience with MS SQL Server (version 2012 or newer), including designing advanced stored procedures and functions
• Deep knowledge of SQL Server development best practices and performance optimization
• Solid understanding of relational database architecture and design principles
• Per our client contract, candidates must be US Citizens 

Compensation

• W2 Hourly rate: $70 - $95. Pay rates are based on experience, qualifications, location, and certifications, and are subject to change at any time.
