Calling all Fully Cleared Full Stack Java Developers! This Top Secret - FS Poly Cleared opportunity to develop in an Agile environment is in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you will develop, maintain and enhance complex operational software system by developing or updating analytics, algorithms, scripts, data processing procedures, documentation, security features, metrics collection, reporting functions or any other aspect of maintaining operations of operations systems. It’s a great time to join this project which supports the Financial, HR/Workforce and Logistics divisions as they move onto the AWS Cloud.

Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens and hold an Active TS/SCI with FS Poly.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day tasks will involve developing data queries, integrating existing software into new environments, debugging and enhancing existing software, as well as designing and coding new software features. Analyzing system and user requirements will be critical for deriving software design and performance requirements, and you'll have the opportunity to design complex database interfaces and queries.

Utilizing scientific analysis and mathematical models, you'll predict and measure the outcomes of software design decisions, adapting existing software to correct errors or improve performance. Furthermore, you will engage in collaborative problem-solving with system engineers and hardware engineers to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration of software components.

As a key member of our team, you will assist in developing and executing test procedures, implementing algorithms to address performance issues, and ensuring adherence to strict timing and resource constraints. Additionally, you may oversee one or more software development teams, ensuring that projects are completed in alignment with established software development processes.

Qualifications

• Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens and hold an Active TS/SCI with FS Poly.
• 3 - 6 years of software development experience
• BS Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or four years of additional software development experience in lieu of a degree
• Java Full Stack Development with focus on backend
• Spring, Microservices and Large Data
• Database experience with Elasticsearch/Open Search, Postgres and Neo4J (of similar graph database)
• Security+ Certification is required within six months of joining team
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the following:
• React
• Docker and other CICD/DevOps
• AWS or other delivery frameworks
• NiFi
