Job Description

Our client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for an Enterprise Release Manager to fill an important spot on their team on a Federal Project onsite in Springfield, VA.  As the Enterprise Release Manager, you will oversee large, multi-disciplinary teams and provide expert guidance on task execution. Your experience with process improvement within Agile framework is critical to your success.

 

Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be US Citizens, with an active Top Secret/SCI clearance. This role is open for employees only, no independent contractors. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Government in driving the adoption of agile development practices, utilizing the SAFe framework to ensure effective coordination among release trains, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Enable alignment between risk management and scheduling by collaborating with specialized risk and schedule teams to ensure integration with broader enterprise goals.
  • Oversee the planning and traceability of user requirements and architectures, ensuring they align with mission objectives and foster continuous improvement throughout development cycles.
  • Provide strategic advice on solutions architecture and processes, recommending adjustments based on changing mission requirements and agile best practices.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to convert customer and mission needs into system and capability requirements, ensuring solutions fulfill operational demands and support enterprise initiatives.
  • Lead systems integration efforts by analyzing and executing technical assessments across programs, with a focus on supporting Epic Development and broader enterprise objectives.
  • Conduct and lead Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), Trade Studies, and engineering assessments to offer comprehensive options for decision-makers.
  • Support strategic technical planning and interface design by collaborating with multiple teams to align agile processes within the larger enterprise framework.
  • Utilize enterprise tools such as Jira and Confluence for release planning, task tracking, and documentation, ensuring transparency and traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Actively advocate for process improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across teams, supporting continuous improvement aligned with the SAFe methodology.
  • Facilitate the integration of Major Systems Acquisitions, coordinating efforts across organizational, agency, and national boundaries to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree or Bachelor’s plus 4 additional years of experience
  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • Proven ability to manage and implement complex processes and concepts in large-scale, cross-functional environments
  • Experience leading and mentoring junior and mid-level personnel in agile practices and systems engineering
  • Extensive experience within the Intelligence Community (IC), with a focus on enterprise-level system acquisition and development
  • Proficiency in leveraging enterprise tools like Jira and Confluence for release planning, tracking, and process management
  • Deep understanding of Agile and SAFe methodology, terminology, and best practices for scaling agile across the enterprise
  • Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in systems engineering, release management, or related fields
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend new technologies and processes based on mission objectives and requirements.

Job Requirements

Compensation

Competitive salary range of $135K-$160K, based on experience, qualifications, location, licensure and certifications.  The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.

 

Employee benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, 401K plan and additional voluntary benefits. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
