If you are a TS-SCI Full Scope poly-cleared Cloud Engineering professional you could be part of a long-term consulting project located in Annapolis Junction, MD. This project involves supporting the logistics program, where you will be the Cloud Subject Matter Expert. This is a position where your talents will shine, and you can count on variety in the daily tasks.

Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens and hold an Active TS/SCI with FS Poly.

Flex Schedules are available: choose an early or late shift between 6a.m. – 6p.m. or 4/10-hour workweek. The goal is to find the schedule that can work best for you.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to platforms and services based on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other commercial cloud hosting environments which will include requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing and problem diagnosis/resolution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration
• Support operational systems utilizing Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS)
• Conduct scalability assessments of Cloud related algorithms, applications and systems to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. You will use cloud related data management tools and Open Source (NoSQL) products, i.e., HBase, CloudBase/Acumulo and Big Table

Qualifications

• Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must hold an Active TS/SCI with FS Poly
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree from an accredited college or 4 years of additional Software Engineering experience in lieu of a BS Degree
• 6 years Proficiency in Cloud Platform Engineering
• 6 years software development/engineering experience
• Strong grasp of security practices in Top Secret Cleared environments
• Collaborative problem-solving skills
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification is a plus
• Security+ Certification is required within six months of joining team
