We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Administrator to join our client’s team in Beltsville, MD. In this role you will manage and secure Azure cloud infrastructure, implement and monitor security controls, optimize and automate cloud operations, support multi-cloud and hybrid environments, ensure compliance with industry standards, and collaborate with teams to enhance performance, scalability, and security while maintaining up-to-date documentation and providing technical support. This is an onsite, direct-hire role located in Beltsville, MD.

Per our client contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens possessing an Active Secret Clearance. 

Responsibilities

• Manage and secure Azure cloud infrastructure for scalability and seamless operations.
• Implement security measures, monitor threats, and control access.
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot cloud resources (networking, storage, databases).
• Automate operations with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Plan and execute secure cloud migrations with minimal disruption.
• Optimize virtual networks, security groups, and routing tables.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, SOC 2, GDPR).
• Implement encryption, key management, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Support hybrid and multi-cloud environments for workload coordination.
• Collaborate on DevOps CI/CD pipelines and containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Conduct audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
• Train teams in cloud security best practices and policies.
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies and SOPs.
• Utilize SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, CloudTrail) for monitoring and management.
• Manage resource lifecycle, cost optimization, and documentation.
• Provide technical support, resolve issues, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and 9 years of experience; 7 years with a Masters; 4 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree. 
• MUST possess one of the following certifications: CASP+ CE, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR,CISA ,CISSP (or Associate),Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, GCIA, GCIH ,GICSP. SCYBER, VCA DCV, PPDA, Agile IC, SNOW App Dev.
• Active Secret security clearance
• Ability to support during core business hours (09:00AM – 05:00PM).
• Must be a U.S. citizen. 

Compensation

• The compensation for this role is up to $145,000, based on experience and qualifications.
