Analytics Director – Quality Payment Program Models

Job Description
This Maryland Based health system is seeking a Director of Ambulatory Analytics, Quality and Safety, who will be focused on the Quality Payment Program Models. The system is made up of over 30,000 associates and has 5400 affiliated physicians who work in a variety of settings and specialties. They are committed to providing the highest quality of care to patients throughout the Maryland/D.C Region.
Experience working with Cerner Workflows will be a key skill needed in this role. If you have also worked with Business Objects to generate reports that will be a plus. You will look to maximize reimbursements through CMS’s Quality Payment program and will review if the Merit based incentive payment system (MIPS), or the MIPS Value Pathway, or any other available program is what would be optimal for the organization. The work you do will be impactful and could increase revenues for the health system by millions.
This position is 100% remote, with compensation and benefits being highly competitive for your talents. The team is made up of clinical and analytical minds who work well collaboratively. The position is open due to a promotion. Per our client contract, candidates must be Green Card holders or U.S. Citizens.
Responsibilities
- Leadership: Provide leadership and strategic direction to the ambulatory, quality, and safety team, ensuring that data analytics, quality improvement, and patient safety efforts are integrated, aligned with organizational goals, and achieve desired outcomes.
- Data Analytics: Develop and manage the analytics strategy for the ambulatory care setting, ensuring that data is collected, analyzed, and reported accurately and effectively. This includes developing dashboards and reports to support operations and clinical decision making and monitoring and reporting on key quality and patient safety metrics.
- Quality Improvement: Develop, implement, and mange a comprehensive quality improvement program for ambulatory care setting. This includes leading quality improvements.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the leadership team, including clinical and administrative leadership, to ensure that quality and safety efforts are integrated with the broader organizational strategy. This includes implementing best practices and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Professional Development: Stay current with emerging trends in analytics related to changes in the Quality Payment Programs
Qualifications
- MS in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, with having a Clinical background being a plus
- 4+ years of experience working with large healthcare data sets
- Experience with monitoring and analyses of ambulatory regulatory/pay for performance measures
- Experience with Cerner Millennium and Cerner Healtheintent/Healtheregistries
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and interpersonal skills are required to collaborate and interact with a wide range of clinical, technical, analytical, and business associates.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to details required.
- Advanced analytical, conceptual, and technical problem-solving solving abilities are required. Candidates for this position should be able to spot trends and anomalies within data.
- Proficiency with tools such as Business Objects, Cerner Command Language (CCL), PowerInsight, Python, SQL databases.
- Knowledge of ambulatory quality programs with an ability to stay abreast of ongoing changes and developments
- Proficiency with programs such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, SharePoint.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
