Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Program Portfolio Manager to join our client’s team in Dulles, VA. In this role you will manage and support program delivery excellence, financial performance, team leadership, stakeholder communication, business development, and client relationships while fostering collaboration and driving growth opportunities. This is a Hybrid role, requiring 2 days onsite in Dulles, VA.
Per our client contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens, eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the successful delivery of a portfolio of programs by managing staffing, mitigating risks, adhering to contract requirements, tracking key metrics, and maintaining high integrity in overall performance.
- Oversee program budgets by efficiently allocating resources, monitoring financial outcomes, and effectively communicating financial insights and strategies.
- Achieve corporate objectives and budgets while providing metrics-driven financial reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire teams, providing guidance to Program Managers and support staff working on contracts.
- Collaborate closely with back-office financial and contract support teams.
- Promote teamwork, resolve conflicts, and support employee development and growth.
- Communicate program updates, challenges, and achievements clearly to stakeholders.
- Deliver program status reports to executive leadership and external audiences.
- Identify new growth opportunities and potential markets for expansion.
- Manage the business development pipeline by working with business development and capture teams to identify and pursue opportunities aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
- Cultivate strong relationships with federal clients, employees, and partners, understanding their needs and aligning program objectives accordingly.
- Establish and maintain strategic business partnerships to drive revenue growth.
- Participate in industry events relevant to customers and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or a related field.
- 5+ years’ experience managing operations or programs teams.
- Must have experience supporting Federal contracts and/or leading Federal Projects/Programs.
- (Federal experience is a MUST)
- Understand financial metrics to include managing Profit and Loss, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Understanding and managing financial risks associated with sustainment and growth initiatives.
- Ability to accurately forecast monthly financials.
- Have a successful history of driving business growth and capturing federal contracts.
- Familiarity with the intricacies of federal procurement processes, regulations, and compliance.
- A solid grasp of technology solutions, systems integration, and emerging trends in federal IT.
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance or higher. This person will be able to start without active clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Experience:
- PMP Certification or equivalent.
- Experience working with Dept of State, Environmental Protection Agency, or other Federal Civilian agencies.
- Cybersecurity, Cloud, Infrastructure and/or Application Development background.
- Cloud, cybersecurity and/or software background.
- Existing Secret or Top-Secret Clearance
