Our direct client has a contract opportunity for a Power BI Architect to work REMOTE on a Federal program based in Washington, DC. In this role, you will lead the effort to gather requirements, design, develop, and implement Power BI ad hoc and long-term reports for a big data application in Microsoft Azure environment.

Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be able to pass the client's background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage architecture solution, support, and development of ad hoc and long-term Microsoft BI solutions and Power BI Reports.
• Oversee design of data models and designs required to implement performant Microsoft BI solutions and Power BI Reports.
• Estimate level of effort and cost of infrastructure to support Microsoft BI solutions and Power BI implementations.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to performance, environments, monitoring and operability of Power BI reports.
• Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders across business and IT organizations.
• Lead and mentor junior resources to meet solution requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with the following:
  • Power BI
  • Data Visualization
  • Data Analytics
• Power BI Architecture and Solutioning
• Power BI CI/CD, Monitoring and Alerting
• Power BI Infrastructure Estimation and Resource Management
• Power Automate, Power Apps

Preferred Experience:

• Experienced in estimating sizing data warehousing as well as Power BI Microsoft solutions in Microsoft Azure environment.
• Experienced in resolving performance issues on large scale BI implementation on big data platforms.
• Experienced in implementing CI/CD and setting up automated testing of Power BI reports
• Experienced in setting up monitoring and alerting for performance and operational issues with Power BI reports and environment.
• Experienced in being trusted advisor to client executives and stakeholders, suggesting alternate tools and techniques to solve complex and ambiguous requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years in Microsoft Business Intelligence architecture experience.
• Development experience with Microsoft Power BI visualizations including Maps, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
• Experience leading the development team in an agile environment.
