Our client is one of the leading utility companies in the Washington, DC Metro area. They are looking for someone to lead their team supporting key stakeholders in the Utility Operations realm. As the Digital Lead of Business Solutions – Utility Operations, you will be responsible for the ongoing engagement, management of demand backlogs, and delivery of digital sustainment services, ensuring those processes serve current business needs. This is a “roll up your sleeves” position, where you’ll actively engage with customers and employees to achieve the desired results.

Responsibilities

• Leverage technology to accelerate value delivery across the enterprise
• Ensure regular Digital alignment with your business stakeholders, ensure broad understanding of business strategies, activities, drivers, requirements, and system enhancement demands
• Support the management & prioritization of business needs and consolidate sustainment demand across your area of domain expertise, maintaining product backlogs that reflect the current organizational priorities and bring visibility to the resource requirements necessary
• Coordinate the delivery of Digital services across your area of responsibilities by our outsourcing service providers, ensuring value is realized from the contracted delivery services
• Support application operations, testing, and issue resolution, ensuring our digital team acts with a “sense of urgency” in response to normal or emergent/incident needs
• Assist in the conduct of Root Cause Analysis in response to incidents, ensuring a continuous learning and improvement environment is maintained.
• Support processes for risk identification and mitigation across the application portfolio, ensuring continuous improvement in our Digital risk posture
• Pursue research and assessment of new approaches, technologies and solutions, and evaluating them for potential use across Utilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 7+ years of related experience with supporting business processes, product ownership, business analysis, and/or the support of business applications
• Experience working with third party vendors
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Per our client contract, candidates must be Green Card holders or U.S. Citizens

Preferred Qualifications:

• Specific experience supporting Utility Operations business partners delivering Above Ground, Below Ground, Asset Management, Work Management, Field Operations & Dispatch support, GIS applications is strongly preferred
• Agile experience
