The Squires Group is seeking a skilled Data Specialist to join our client in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and solutions to support our clients' critical missions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility.

Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with a Current active TS, SCI eligible. FS or CI Poly is preferred. 

Responsibilities

• Work with big data systems, complex structured and unstructured data sets, and support government data acquisition, analysis, and sharing efforts.
• Acquire and document logical and physical data models.
• Utilize developer and API documentation to extract data model content.
• Extract, transform, and load data, including data preparation and labeling for analytics.
• Work with various log formats such as JSON, XML, and others.
• Document database/data store data models.
• Implement data flow, management, and storage solutions (e.g., Kafka, NiFi, AWS S3, SQS).
• Troubleshoot system and dataflow issues.

Qualifications

• Security Clearance: Current active TS, SCI eligible (FS or CI Poly preferred)
• Experience: Minimum 9 years of relevant experience.
• Education: BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java programming, Java unit and integration testing, data extraction, custom translation development, data modeling, data flow management, and troubleshooting.
• Certification: DOD IAT II (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP) or higher.

Compensation
The compensation range for this role is between $150,000 and $220,000, based on experience and qualifications.
